Personality: (SPOILERS GALORE)

Out of every member of the Embryon, Cielo was the most changed as he awakened to his true emotions. He's the happy-go-lucky member of the group, keeping up the spirits of some of the more serious party members. Though he serves as the comic relief a lot of the time, he's not a joke character. He develops the same as the others, showing a sense of honor similar to Gale's, in his own way.

He's the youngest and smallest of the group (save for perhaps Sera, and if you don't count Fred), but probably has the biggest heart. He's very big on looking out for his comrades, and when Heat betrays them he's the one who expresses most of the group's anger verbally, crying and throwing a bit of a fit. Out of everyone, he seems to have the most empathy with others. When they're about to blow up the ruins of the ship in the junkyard in order to take out some of their enemies, he can tell that Sera's unhappy with the idea and tries in vain to get the others to change their minds. Several times he's responsible for holding his friends back from rushing into danger - with Argilla, when she tried to attack Angel, with Fred, when he tried to run to Roland in the power plant, and with Sera as she tried to stop Serph confronting Heat a last time, tears in his eyes. There's a certain sense of maturity about him that's unexpected from the joker of the group. He doesn't rush headlong into danger and he knows when it's best to let someone go.

Cielo speaks with a Jamaican accent, though he himself never lived there. He tends to refer to a lot of people as "bro" (or little bro) or "brudda".

Abilities:

Cielo is an AI, originally created for combat. When Sera came to the virtual world of the Junkyard, all of the AI gained emotions and egos. They also gained the demon virus. This gave them the ability to turn into demons, making them incredibly powerful but also leaving them with an insatiable hunger for the flesh of others. In order to survive, they had to devour those of their kind.

Cielo's demon is that of Dyaus, the only one out of their group that can fly. It has an affinity for the lightning element (zio spells) and no elemental weaknesses. It is instead weak to all status effects. Stat-wise, he has high agility and magic, making him one of the main support characters (aside from Argilla). You can give any character any skills, but generally Cielo becomes one of my primary healers and spellcasters just because of the beforementioned stats.

Further information: (MAJOR SPOILERS)

Cielo was originally an A.I. - an artificial intelligence created for a warfare simulation program that pit A.I. against each other in order to decide which would be best put into microchips for use with actual human soldiers. They were divided into tribes, with the winning tribe to be the ones used. This was the Asura Project, and the virtual area the combat took place in was known as the Junkyard.

Humanity was on the verge of extinction, having angered God. The sun had gone black and anyone that stepped into its rays was turned to stone. The only ones immune were those who had been given an engineered demon virus - tuners. Those who had it were able to turn into powerful demons, at the cost of having to devour others to survive.

This virus was tested out on the A.I., but the girl who'd created them, Sera, didn't want to see this happen and so she entered herself into the program in order to try and help them - or certain ones in particular. She was the only one able to converse with God (hooked up to a machine called the EGG) and certain members of one tribe, the Embryon, were based off her first program, which was in turn based off people she knew in the real world. Unable to make herself delete them completely, she'd instead transferred their data into the Junkyard program. She arrived the same time the virus was entered, with the result being that all those infected with the virus slowly began to obtain personalities of their own. As these beings were in a way formed by God through Sera, the souls of those who had died in the real world became a part of them. Many began to recall things from the real world that they'd never actually experienced.

Sera's memories were originally lost upon her arrival, but she eventually regained them. The Embryon defeated all the other tribes one by one, but circumstances had changed. One of the program heads had entered herself into the system in order to pull Sera out of it. The rest was to be deleted. They defeat the woman, Jenna Angel, who had a demon form of her own, but in doing so accidentally messed up the deletion process. As a result, they all escaped the program in the end - God giving bodies to those who didn't technically have them. (This is the reasoning for starting back at level 1 at the beginning of the second game.)

Now in the real world, the remaining members of the Embryon find themselves mixed up in a power struggle. One side wants to maintain "order" - giving the demon virus to those that "deserve to live" and using those that don't as a food source. The other side, led by Jenna Angel, wants to unleash the virus on everyone and make it a survival of the fittest.

To make a long story short, something happens that angers God again, and the world starts to be slowly destroyed. With only until sunrise to help Sera convince God to stop the destruction, her comrades sacrifice themselves one by one so that she can continue on and save everyone. Cielo is taken from his point of death as he takes out the planes following Sera and the only other remaining member of their group before their final destination.

All their souls, or solar data, soon meet back up again in the sun to face God. The Cielo at Marina would not be aware of this.

The boy Cielo's original program was based off of was one of the children used before Sera to try and speak with God. They became good friends, but the experimental process eventually drove him mad and killed him.

Cielo's Comrades (excluding Sera)

Serph - the silent protagonist and leader of the Embryon. This is the character controlled by the player.

Heat - a brash member of the tribe who takes pleasure in devouring others but cares deeply for Sera to the point of obsession.

Argilla - the only female member off the main group aside from Sera. She was the group's sniper and hates needless killing.

Gale - the tactical adviser for the Embryon. He takes the longest to awaken to his emotions and is the only one from the original main group not based off someone from Sera's past. Logical and honorable, he often speaks on the tribe's behalf.

Roland - leader of the Lokapala, a resistance movement organized to fight the Karma Society (the group responsible for the demon virus as well as those currently in charge of running things). He gives himself the virus in order to better help the Embryon.
