As a heroine of a shoujo manga, Sakura comes with all the necessary aspects of a protagonist's personality. She's upbeat, cheerful, and energetic and possesses an incredibly big heart. She's against any types of violence, especially if forced to fight her comrades or friends. Sakura also has an incredible capacity to forgive and therefore is able to relate to her enemies even if they do her wrong. Sakura is not the type to hold a grudge or seek revenge against anyone. She also has a side helping of klutzy, naivety, and innocence that surrounds her. Sakura makes friends easily as it is her innocent aura that draws other people in

Sakura possesses a clear sense of perception at times, able to relate and to sympathize with friends and even strangers. While she does sometimes panic in the midst of chaos, she's also able to stay clearheaded and determined with her eyes straight on her goal. She may be given in to pouting and whining sometimes, but that is mostly related to her young age rather than overall brattiness. Sakura is actually rather mature for her age, content with cooking, cleaning, and household activities. It doesn't take much to motivate her, if her friends and family need her help then she's willing to give it at all times.

Surprisingly, Sakura can get worried, upset, and angry like a normal person. Her anger isn't the bitter, revenge-driven sort; it's more childish in a way. She can get sulky and resentful when the other person misunderstands her. However, she's usually the type of person to say sorry first or to make amends. Sakura tries to avoid conflicts with others as she dislikes unnecessary violence. She also hates it whenever people are hurt or get hurt whether physically or emotionally. She gets worried about others very easily and isn't afraid to show her concern openly to them.

ABILITES: The point of canon where Sakura is from has her as an extremely powerful magician in her world. Second after Clow Reed himself. Her powers include prophetic dreams, good luck, spiritual perception, Clow magic, and Celestial star magic.

Sakura is the Mistress of the Cards. She is the sole ruler and controller of 19 Sakura magic cards, formerly known as Clow Cards. She is also able to transform more than one card at once. These cards consist of “The Light, The Dark, The Windy, The Earthy, The Firey, The Wood, The Watery, The Flower, The Fly, The Jump, The Erase, The Mirror, The Maze, The Illusion, The Sword, The Shield, The Shadow, The Thunder, and The Glow.” However, She can only use 17 of these cards. Both the Light and the Dark have not been turned into Sakura cards yet, and are therefore unable to be used by her Star Staff.

When unactivated, her star staff is in the form of a necklace. Sakura uses the following chant to activate her magic: “Key that hides the power of the stars, show your true form before me. I, Sakura, command you under our contract. Release!”

She also has an “invincible” magic spell of her own. This spell is her catchphrase, “Everything will surely be all right!”
